* Overview and Features

Protective Relay 
* Structure and Operation
- The protective relay consists of the frame made of phenolic resins and the transparent plastic cover preventing alien substances from entering into the contact point and the machine.
- The protective relay has latchet-type structure. When contact point "b" is closed as the reset coil is excited, contact point "a" is closed by the latchet. At the same time, the armature of the reset coil leaves and contact point "b" is opened.

* Overview and Features
- Receives DC 1500V voltage in the DC part with the pantograph rise.
- Prevents Main Circuit Breaker (MCB) tripping by panto. that is running into wrong path due to no voltage when passing DC-DC section in the DC area.
- Operates the DC Voltage Relay Time Relay (DCVRTR) to prevent malfunctioning of the successive circuit due to PT inrush current when inrushing AC section.
- Prevents accidents due to direct grounding between panto. and EGS during operation.
General Distribution Panel 
* Overview The general distribution panel is used in the electric train, and connects contactors, relays, distribution breakers, and switches on the steel panel. On top and on bottom of the general distribution panel, there are port panels installed for convenient internal/external cabling. * Composition The distribution panel is installed at the back of the driving room in the TC car for other controlling purposes than cooling and heating. In M, T1, and T2, the distribution panel is connected at the end of the vehicle.
CM Starting BOX 
The CM starting box is for the Compressor Motor (CM) and supplies air pressure for braking the electric train and opening/closing the door.

Wire Wound Resistor: KS Product 
* Feature
- The wire wound resistor is the sand bushing coiled by the resistor wire and coated with insulation paint. It is easy to connect the wire wound resistor that is free from the secondary accident when the resistor line is cut.
- Non-inductive wire wound resistor is also available. Suitable for high resistance and small current.

Main Resistor 
* Overview
The main resistor is installed in the DC resistor controlling type electric train and applied for braking.
* Functions
- The main resistor is connected to 4 pulling electric motor in serial or parallel and controls the speed of the electric train
- The main resistor consumes braking current through resistance during braking. (Installed in the lower part of the electric train and cooled by natural cooling method>
